CLINICAL EXERCISE THERAPY Classes

St Ives Physiotherapy offers Clinical Exercise Therapy classes run by an experienced Physiotherapist.

Classes are held in our bright new Studio, located on the first floor, 196 Mona Vale Rd (above Toys and Tales) and last for one hour.

Before joining one of our classes you are required to have an assessment with one of our physiotherapists.  During the CET assessment the physiotherapist will take a detailed history of any medical or musculoskeletal issues you may have.  You will then have a full musculoskeletal assessment where we will assess your mobility, strength and stability as well as providing education and basic core abdominal exercises.  The CET assessment is a requirement to claim your classes under your private health fund.  It is also to ensure the physiotherapist running the class knows about you and your history and can ensure exercises given are safe and appropriate.

Class times:
Monday        9:30 am - 10:30 am
Monday        6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

What is Clinical Exercise Therapy?
Our Clinical Exercise Classes are not just for fitness, but are designed to specifically target your musculoskeletal problems. This may be to reduce pain and tightness and to strengthen and stabilise. Current research proves that body areas that have been injured can lose stability, which can then lead to muscle spasm, causing pain and tightness.
