The 4 W's of the GLA:D Program What is GLA:D? GLA:D®, or Good Life with Arthritis: Denmark, is an education and exercise program developed by researchers in Denmark for people with hip or knee osteoarthritis symptoms. GLA:D® uses education and exercise to help with daily activities. Who will be taking the classes, and what will I be doing? You will work on strengthening your body, as well as learning to move correctly and manage symptoms to improve pain with our expert Physio and owner of St Ives Physiotherapy, Hillary Simon. Where will the Classes be? The Exercise Centre -The Studio and the Gym Level 1, 196 Mona Vale Rd St Ives NSW 2075 (above Specsavers) When should I come? Twice a week for 6 weeks. The classes will be held every Monday at 12pm and every Thursday at 11:15. Hillary Simon will guide you through 12 sessions in total, including two education sessions teaching you about osteoarthritis and exercise. You will need to book an Assessment Consultation with a Physiotherapist prior to starting the classes. This would suit me perfectly! When can I start? Classes begin on Monday 1st August 2022.
