Jen Finikin B.App.Sc. (Physiotherapy). MAPA
Jen is a passionate physiotherapist with diverse clinical experience. Since graduating from the University of Sydney in 1996, Jen has worked in a variety of both public and private health care settings in Sydney and Melbourne. She has particular experience in the management of musculoskeletal conditions, orthopaedic rehabilitation and women’s health as well as clinical Pilates. Jen has also worked as a senior hand therapist.
Since returning to Sydney in 2003, Jen has worked as a physiotherapist at the Sydney Adventist Hospital as well as in private practice. Her work has included treating outpatients, running land-based and water-based exercise classes as well as day rehabilitation programs. Jen has a special interest in pre and post-natal care and has enjoyed providing physio on the maternity ward, as well as in childbirth education.
After training in clinical Pilates Jen has facilitated classes privately for more than 10 years. This has contributed to Jen’s passion for the role of exercise in injury prevention and rehabilitation. Jen has a burgeoning interest in the place of nutrition in healing, as well as the interrelation of our physical and mental well-being. She feels privileged to use her physiotherapy skills to consult with her clients holistically and develop treatment plans to equip her patients with self-management skills.
