                                                                We are open for business
COVID-19 has presented us with an unprecedented challenge.  Australians are being asked to take measures that we’ve never had to before – things like cancelling travel, not going to concerts and general social distancing.

You may be wondering how this affects your physiotherapy treatment.  We at St Ives Physiotherapy continue to offer quality care for our patients.  There are many things we are doing as professionals to minimise risk of exposure through rigorous hygiene practices and patient screening to keep you and our staff safe.  So, you are welcome to come in for your treatment, subject to our screening processes.

All Physiotherapists at St Ives Physiotherapy are wearing masks when consulting patients.
As per NSW Health recommendations, we also encourage all patients to wear a mask when you attend your appointment.
We also remind you to:⠀
  • Either wash or sanitise your hands when you arrive at the practice or exercise studio
  • Arrive on time for your appointment (not early)
  • Please respect our reception staff and avoid leaning over the counter ⠀
  • Bring your own towels to your Clinical Exercise sessions ⠀
  • Thoroughly clean each piece of equipment with the wipes provided while in the group exercise class studio
  • If you are unwell or have been in contact with someone who is - please either reschedule your appointment or ring us and we are happy to change it to an online Telehealth appointment instead
⠀⠀
We’re here for you for the long haul to keep you moving well and staying well.
However, if you are in self-isolation or would prefer to minimise contact in any way, you may like to consult with us via Telehealth. Telehealth uses digital technology that’s readily available on your computer or phone to receive treatment from our physio.  It is safe and effective, and our physios are trained to deliver telehealth consultations.

If you would like to talk to us about continuing your treatment through Telehealth, please call us on 9144 1118.

Stay safe and well.

The Team at St Ives Physiotherapy.

ADDITIONAL HEALTH MEASURES:
The staff at St Ives Physiotherapy are committed to ensuring the health and safety of all patients and staff.  We have employed the following measures:
  1. We are following all appropriate infection control measures and staff have completed the Australian Government’s COVID-19 Infection Control training.
  2. We are following social distancing guidelines.  This includes limiting the number of physiotherapists working at the same time and we have moved all our group classes online.
  3. Patients are encouraged to arrive as close to their appointment time as possible to reduce the amount of time spent in the waiting room.
  4. Patients are encouraged to wash or sanitise their hands on entering and leaving the practice.
  5. Chairs in the waiting room have been spaced further apart.
  6. Frequently handled items are sanitised regularly throughout the day.
  7. We are continuously keeping up-to-date with government guidelines and the advice of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
  8. If you have traveled or transited in the past 14 days and/or are experiencing any of the following symptoms (fever, sore throat, cough, cold/flu symptoms), please contact us for a telehealth consultation and re-schedule your face-to-face appointment.
If you wish to avoid walking through the Shopping Centre, the best place to park is in the Green Underground Carpark, and take the lift from Level 1 (opposite the Dentist), directly up to us on Level 3.
If you wish to discuss your appointment or safety measures, please do not hesitate to call us.

We look forward to seeing you and keeping you active.
